Lake Nakuru National Park Daytrip

0800 hrs – You will be picked up from your hotel after breakfasts proceed towards the Lake Nakuru National Park. This 2 and a half hour drive will take you through small-scale farms and then down the steep eastern escarpment of the Great Rift Valley. The great Rift Valley Escarpment stretches all the way from Jordan in the Middle East to Southern Africa. It is an awesome sight to see. At the escarpment, you will make a stop to view the awesome landscape. You will also get a chance to do some souvenir shopping at the roadside curio shops where you will good quality products and practise your ability to bargain. Continue on to Lake Nakuru National Park and upon arrival you will have a game drive in this popular national park. The Lake Nakuru National Park is re known for its hundreds of thousands of pink flamingos and you are certain to see them today. Lake Nakuru is one of the most famous lakes in the Rift Valley. The park is also a Rhino sanctuary and this powerful animal is a common sight. In addition to these two species you stand a good chance to see the Rothschild giraffe, and the most elusive of cats, the leopard. After your game drive you will proceed on to Sarova Lionhill Game Lodge where you will have a full buffet lunch. The Sarova Lionhill Game Lodge is well known for its lovely international buffet spread. After lunch you will have another game drive before starting your drive back to Nairobi later this evening.
